Whether you’re a longtime resident, a newcomer, or just visiting: This guided tour of the permanent exhibition offers fascinating insights into the city’s history
If you want to know why a quarter of Berlin’s population actually came from Cölln or where the idiom “Retourkutsche” comes from, this is the place for you. You’ll also find answers to many other questions about Berlin’s history.
The tour also highlights Berlin’s quirks and unique features from its founding to the present day. Along the way, participants will encounter Berlin’s oldest domestic pig skeleton, “Alter Fritz,” and the artist couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude. They all share their stories.
