A fugitive small-time crook and a young man with Down Sydrome embark on a trip through the American South in this highly acclaimed indie film.

It's about Zak, who escapes from a nursing home in North Carolina to fulfill his lifelong dream: Attending wrestling school. Shortly after his escape, he ends up as a stowaway in the boat of an illegal crab fisherman who is also on the run from a couple of vengeful rivals. The atmospheric camerawork and the light-footed interplay between the actors lend the film an atmosphere between fairytale and poetic realism that is hard to resist.

There are touching moments that don't tip over into the maudlin, and what the story lacks in depth is compensated for by the weighty ensemble. Even small roles are played by great actors such as Bruce Dern, Thomas Haden Church and John Hawkes.
