In the organizer's words:

"Namasté India" will be back in Stuttgart in summer 2026: from July 22 to 26, 2026, the Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg invites you to the 23rd edition of the Indian Film Festival - the only festival of its kind in the whole of Germany. For five days, the Metropol Kino will become a window into the diverse world of Indian film.

As in previous years, numerous filmmakers from India are expected to attend. Directors, actors and producers will travel to Stuttgart to present their works in person, hold talks and exchange ideas with the audience. This proximity to the artists makes the festival a special experience.

The film program shows the entire spectrum of Indian cinema:

- colorful Bollywood productions,
- precisely observed documentaries,
- creative short films,
- and works from all regions and languages of the Indian film industry.

Thanks to this diversity, numerous European and world premieres and the competition sections - Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary Film, Director's Vision Award and the Audience Award - the festival in Stuttgart has developed into one of the most important Indian film events outside India.

Stuttgart is the ideal place for anyone wishing to gain a lively insight into the dynamic, modern and at the same time traditional film culture of the subcontinent.
