Museum Island Berlin is continuing its celebrations of 200 years of Museum Island with the Island Festival on UNESCO World Heritage Day. After last year's successful premiere, the island festival is now entering its second round and will take place on June 6 and 7 this year.

Concerts are once again among the highlights of this year's Island Festival. Performances by the Deutsches Theater, the Unter'n Linden salon orchestra and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester round off the day's program on the stage in the Kolonnadenhof. On Saturday evening, a special musical act, the Bene Aperdannier Trio, will transform the Museum Island into an atmospheric open-air stage.

Another highlight: on Friday, June 5 and the morning of June 6, the Chorverband Berlin e.V. will be performing at the #dabei open air festival on Museum Island. This is more than just a concert: it thrives on open cooperation. On the 125th anniversary of the Chorverband Berlin, 16 choirs will showcase the diversity of the Berlin choir scene and beyond - from newly founded to experienced, from classical to pop. In the Colonnade Courtyard on Museum Island, the boundaries between stage and audience become blurred when sing-along activities invite everyone to become part of the sound. Lively and collaborative - a choir festival to join in!

With the day ticket for the Island Festival, adults can visit all the museums on the Museum Island for €16 / reduced €8. It is valid for all six museums on Museum Island: Altes Museum, Neues Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie, Bode-Museum, Pergamon. The Panorama and the James Simon Gallery. In addition, the Friedrichswerder Church and the PETRI Berlin are included in the ticket for the first time this year.
