On December 17, 2025, Georges Paul and Axel Dörner return to the Berlin gallery World in a Room (Brunhildstraße 7, 10829 Berlin) - for the first time since their impressive guest performance in March 2024. Their duo creates a sound space of radical openness in which saxophone and trumpet do not appear as voices of traditional lines, but as laboratories of sonic transformation. Paul's eruptive, spectral saxophone textures meet Dörner's microtonal breath architectures and form a structure that constantly reorganizes itself between noise, sound and silence. Nothing strives for dissolution here: friction, fragments and fleeting condensations become the motif of a shared listening experience that questions the boundaries of both instruments. The duo unfolds a fragile, yet highly intense topography of the moment: a concert that sets the room in motion and leads the audience into the vibrating intermediate zones of free improvisation. The evening is divided into two sets: a first that focuses exclusively on the acoustic encounter between saxophone and trumpet, and a second in which analog synthesizers and electronic interventions transform the duo into an expanded, pulsating sound architecture.
