On Friday, July 24, 2026, the first edition of inside AREAL SÜD will take place on the upper section of Tübinger Straße, inviting visitors to discover the neighborhood’s creative diversity and celebrate together.

Under the “Open House” theme, starting at 5:00 p.m., around 20 creative offices, shops, and restaurants will open their doors, offering various specials, workshops, short talks, exhibitions, DJ sets, and live performances. Highlights include the Synthetic Styles Awards ceremony featuring AI artists Monica Menez and Ivonne Veith; presentations by various creative networks such as ADC and Netzwerk im Raum; a live performance by Themis with songs full of dark melodies and driving guitar riffs; short talks on the topic “Why Vintage Is More Than Just Fashion,” a magic show for all ages at the Dreigroschentheater, sound workshops at the Manjula ceramics studio, and brewery tours at Dinkelacker. Afterward, the party continues at the Block Party at Ratto, Bruno, Lennart, Sattlerei, Galao, and Sitt Wein.

Leading up to the event, three sets of three business talks will take place in the afternoons from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. as part of the Studio Sessions at the agencies MDCT, Studio Brot, and Poolhaus. Here, local experts will provide insights into current developments—from AI to branding, from strategy to design. For example, Marina Achthoforidou from Studio Brot will speak on the topic “Breaking Bread with Brands,” and Robin Hofmann from HearDis! will speak on “Impact through Sound.” The format is specifically aimed at companies, decision-makers, and small and medium-sized businesses. Background: Since the beginning of the year, creative service providers, restaurants, and retailers in Stuttgart-Süd have joined forces under the AREAL SÜD label with the goal of building a community that fosters new collaborations and projects. Following various internal events such as networking meetings, lectures, and themed evenings, the network is now presenting itself to the general public with this summer festival. AREAL SÜD is supported by the Economic Development Agency of the State Capital of Stuttgart.
