Whether hiking in the mountains, kayaking on the sea or traveling through distant countries: there are all kinds of risks lurking that we need to be able to deal with in order to return home safely. In order to recognize dangers and take advantage of opportunities, we need to get a picture of reality that is as realistic as possible, on the basis of which we can make good decisions. In this interactive lecture, you will learn how our sensory physiology and perceptual psychology work and how you can train your survival radar so that you recognize dangers in good time in order to master them. This skill is particularly important for guides who lead people through the wilderness. But every individual traveler can also improve their chances of survival in an emergency. Go through life with your eyes open!
