Internationale Wochen gegen Rassismus

Every year, the Landesdemokratiezentrum S-H coordinates the state-wide program for the International Weeks against Racism (IWgR) in Schleswig-Holstein. During IWgR 2024, the pop-up pavilion will host an art exhibition by painter Steffen Schwien as well as other events organized by cooperation partners. The following events are planned:

March 13: Start of the art exhibition "Liebe im Herzen" by Steffen Schwien
14 March from 16:30: Reading with Kübra Gümüşay from "Language and Being", organized by the Landesdemokratiezentrum
March 18 4-6 p.m.: Lecture by Prof. Dr. Tina Spies on the topic of racism and the police, organized by the ASAW (contact point for anti-racism and values officers of the state police)
19 March from 6 p.m.: Rhetoric seminar on the topic of human rights, organized by Diakonie Schleswig-Holstein
March 21, all day: "Let's talk" day of action, organized by the Schleswig-Holstein Refugee Council with the IQ network, the BOAT advisory network and the ZBBS
March 22, 6-8 p.m.: Finissage of the art exhibition "Liebe im Herzen" with Steffen Schwien

During the IWgR, interested visitors can also find out about the services offered by the State Democracy Center and the State Action Plan against Racism.
The pop-up pavilion is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm.
