International Science Slam: FameLab - preliminary decision science competition

Three minutes: That's enough time to make tea. But to explain the scientific theories on the end of the universe? Or the functions of stem cells? In the FameLab science competition, young scientists have 180 seconds to explain their natural or social science research topic to the audience and a top-class jury. Factually correct, entertaining and captivating. During the three-minute presentation, the presenters are allowed to use whatever they can carry on stage - there are no limits to their creativity!

Every year, impressive young scientists take to the stage at the FameLab regional competitions throughout Germany. The best two participants in each of the preliminary rounds then take part in the big FameLab Germany final in front of over 1,000 visitors in Bielefeld, where they compete for the chance to represent Germany at the international FameLab final.
