Into The Open 2025: "Rituals" - OPENING

In the organizer's words:

Day 1: OPENING - Martynas Levickis x Mikroorkéstra

Opening performance, 7 pm:
Transfigured (multidisciplinary cello performance)

The performer unveils himself from the depths of a cocoon, as if entangled in an umbilical cord that crushes and yet nourishes him. The ritual of shedding layers explores vulnerable states within a rigid classical music tradition. The cellist reemerges through sound in a large-scale solo cello improvisation, declaring, "I'm not here to play a cello concerto; I'm here to be present and give birth to the body of music."

Into the Open Festival 2025: Rituals

Into the Open is an interdisciplinary festival that aims to redefine the experience of classical music by combining it with different art forms. This special approach offers unique concert experiences ranging from electronic music, visual arts, multimedia installations, dance, lighting design and experimental film. It is aimed at everyone who loves art in all its forms.
