Once upon a time there was a knight who had no horse. This made him very sad, because how was he ever going to find a princess? So the knight left his kingdom to find a steed for himself. Meanwhile, in another kingdom lived a steed without a knight. Because it was constantly hiccuping, not a single knight wanted to own this steed. So it ran out into the world to find a suitable knight for itself. Knight and steed have adventurous encounters with rapacious scoundrels, a blood-sucking bat, a hungry dragon and a wondrous sorceress. But it's like a spell - the knight and his steed miss each other every time. Exhausted from the exertions, the tired horse takes a break and falls asleep. The knight, meanwhile, catches sight of a princess waving to him from her tower window. There were far too many knights at this princess's royal court and she didn't know which one she should marry. So she locked herself in a tower to wait for the right one. Is our knight the right one? He still doesn't have a steed ... and will knight and steed find each other after all?

"The fairy tale of the knight without a steed" is originally a play for puppet theater. In order to bring the numerous characters to life, the production team has invented an attic as a venue. There are not only old things, fabric boxes and carnival costumes to discover - props for dressing up and changing roles - but also a woodworm that makes music and sings beautiful songs with the characters.

A sensitive story about all those who are not perfect, but are lovable for that very reason.
