JACK QUARTET
In the organizer's words:
On the occasion of its Pierre Boulez Saal debut last season, the American JACK Quartet presented the work Celare by Turkish-American composer Cenk Ergün. The four musicians conclude this year's program with the sister piece Sonare, which features Ruth Crawford Seeger's String Quartet and Morton Feldman's Structures from 1951, as well as Carrot Revolution by the young composer and climate activist Gabriella Smith from 2015.
