While the crisis of democracy is being talked about everywhere, the square in front of the Kreuzkirche will become a lively version of the ancient Greek "agora": a place of encounter for our urban society - for controversial exchanges about freedom, equality and justice, for experiencing games and music together, for understanding how living together in a diverse world can succeed.

The democracy fair

Our democracy is not for sale at a funfair, but why not have some fun and enjoy what was proclaimed 75 years ago in Bonn? That's exactly what you can do at the Democracy Fair: at various "booths" you can learn a lot about the Basic Law, our democracy and the opportunities for getting involved in a playful way. And we promise: there will also be popcorn and duck fishing!
