Every Tuesday: Jam Session in the Jazz-Schmiede.
The evening always starts at 8pm with an opener concert set, the weekly changing formations are announced on our homepage.
Afterwards, from around 9pm, there is an open jam session - anyone can come and join in to jam with other musicians and the opening band.
Free admission, so the sessions are also a great opportunity to get to know the Schmiede in an uncomplicated way.

A Tribute to Carla Bley - The artist, who died in October 2023, was certainly one of the most important, if not the most important jazz composer of our time. The four young musicians present Bley's pieces anew with a lot of joy of playing & room for improvisation. Strange, tricky & humorous compositions meet beautiful, simple yet surprising melodies and give an insight into the work of this unique composer.
