In the summer of 2025, Lynn Benda traveled across Japan - from the tropical beaches of Ishigaki, which is closer to Taiwan than the rest of the country, to vibrant Tokyo and the hot springs of Hakone, to the vast landscapes of Hokkaido high in the north on the border with Russia. In her travelogue, she shows Japan off the beaten track, talks about encounters with people, culinary highlights, nature experiences and what it's like to experience a tsunami warning live. This entertaining travelogue is an invitation to rediscover the country.
