JASMINE MYRA

Jasmine Myra is a saxophonist, composer and bandleader based in Leeds. She is part of the city's vibrant, creative and genre-bending music scene and has surrounded herself with some of the best young talent in the North of England. Her original instrumental music has a euphoric and uplifting sound influenced by artists as diverse as Bonobo, Olafur Arnalds and Kenny Wheeler, whose music has an emotive quality that can also be heard in Myra's own compositions.
Recently signed to Gondwana Records, she has been working with A&R and producer Matthew Halsall, whose keen sense of talent has helped bring the music of GoGo Penguin, Mammal Hands and Hania Rani to a wider audience.
After a sensational performance at Gondwana Records presents in the sold-out Elbphilharmonie concert hall in March 2023, Jasmine Myra is coming back to Hamburg on October 23, 2024. This time in the Nochtspeicher and anyone who was there in the Elbphilharmonie knows that we can expect a wonderful evening.
