"Jassin, 20, small East German town, doesn't know what home actually means. Maybe that's why everything doesn't matter, maybe that's why everything is all the more important." That's what you can read on his agent's homepage. And not much more was known about the rapper and singer at the beginning of 2024. In the spring of the same year, Jassin published his first videos on Instagram and TikTok, which quickly garnered tens of clicks. The single "Wellness am Scherbenmeer" was then released in June and the debut EP "Kinder können fies sein" in September. His song "Nach Hause komm'" can be heard on Trettmann's latest album, which he accompanied on tour at the end of the year. Jassin has also supported $OHO BANI, Apsilon, RIN & Schmyt and ENNIO. He has also already played his first two major headlining tours in 2025. In addition to a single with Edwin Rosen as a featured artist, the debut album "Arsenalplatz" by Jassin Awadallah, as he is known, from Lutherstadt Wittenberg, who counts Haftbefehl and Franz Kafka among his influences, was released at the end of November 2025. "You don't (yet) have to assume that he has the same poetic power as these two giants of the German language, but Jassin has actually managed to create his own niche between street slang and diary entries, between authenticity and imagination," recently cheered Musikexpress, but not without asking ironically: "So is this sissy rap for Gen Z or contemporary poetry?" Of course, we are only marginally interested in such questions. Perhaps it is simply both, depending on who is asking. Which perhaps says more about the questioner than about Jassin. In any case, we are delighted to be setting the stage for him here today.
