Jazz in der Alten Feuerwache | Agustín Strizzi & StA

In the organizer's words:

St. A stands for something fantastic, a unique playground where our different cultural and musical backgrounds color the music. The group becomes an exciting melting pot and mixing point where the contribution of each element creates something new and rich that will never cease to amaze you!

Agustin Strizzi, a musician and music teacher from Buenos Aires, Argentina, has extensive experience in percussion, composition and arranging. He discovered his love for music at an early age when he found an affinity for percussion, his main instrument, and performing at concerts. He attended renowned institutions such as the ITMC (Technological Institute of Contemporary Music) in Argentina and traveled extensively to broaden his musical horizons. These took him to the USA, Brazil, Cuba, Uruguay and Poland, where he took lessons from experts and various renowned musicians. The percussionist has toured rock stages and jazz festivals, appeared on television programs and feels at home in concert halls, including the Gasteig in Munich. He has also made numerous appearances in theaters and musicals in American and European countries, including Romania, Switzerland, Bolivia, Spain and Mexico.
Agustin Strizzi currently lives in Potsdam and is concentrating on his teaching activities in order to pass on his unique sound. At the same time, he is working on the production of his new album and is active as a sideman.

Tonight we are looking forward to Agustin Strizzi's encounter with Martin Lillich, a well-known German modern jazz bassist and composer, and the Russian-born jazz pianist Arseny Rykov, who currently lives in Berlin and has already attracted attention with an album and in other formations.
