P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S. is back—this time for a midsummer edition at the Alte Feuerwache in Friedrichshain! Berlin-based drummer Konstantin Lemke is once again bringing together a crew of the finest explorers, who are ready to do whatever it takes to guide the fire station—along with its audience and surroundings—through new, fascinating worlds of jazz.

Diversity is the name of the game—P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S. showcases a wide range of new ideas and visions, brought to life collectively by up-and-coming musicians from Berlin’s jazz scene who became companions and friends while studying at the UdK and JIB. The program features primarily original compositions, along with selected highlights from the contemporary jazz repertoire and the occasional surprise—perhaps even featuring some very special guests!

Konstantin Lemke is a drummer from Berlin who has been making his mark on the Berlin scene for years through a wide variety of concerts, studio recordings, and bands spanning diverse styles from jazz to fusion to pop. He studied at the UdK Berlin with Laurids Richter, Julia Hülsmann, and Marie Séférian, among others; he is currently performing as a guest student in various ensembles at the Jazz Institut Berlin and will begin his studies at the HMT Leipzig with Eric Schaefer in the fall of 2026. With P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S., he has been making a name for himself as a composer and arranger since the group’s debut at the sold-out Kunstfabrik Schlot in the summer of 2025. With technical sophistication and a keen ear, he enriches the Berlin and Leipzig scenes as a young drummer who has already developed a remarkably unique and profound sonic universe in his music—and who has much more to offer in the future.

Konstantin has long been inspired by musical influences—both old and new—from various regions of the world. This joy in fusion and curiosity runs through his artistic signature as a drummer and composer. Each of his excellent collaborators brings their own story and personality, as well as new perspectives and sounds, to the table. The result is a unique musical language, full of color, rhythm, and depth.

Following acclaimed concerts at renowned clubs such as the A-Trane, the Schlot, and the Peppi Guggenheim, it’s time once again: Join us, buckle up, and experience P.R.O.J.E.C.T.S. live—the expedition is stopping in Friedrichshain!
