The Phat Cat Comedy Club is expanding its cultural program: from now on, the historic vaulted cellar will be transformed into an atmospheric jazz club every Sunday. Under the title "Phat Cat Jazz Lounge", the renowned jazz guitarist Rüdiger Krause presents an evening full of groove and urban jazz flair together with changing guest musicians.

Rüdiger Krause has been one of the most prominent guitarists on the jazz scene for decades. He gained his international reputation with the album "A Guitar Named Carla", recorded with jazz legends Carla Bley and Steve Swallow, as well as through his many years of collaboration with Manfred Krug, Céline Rudolph and Esther Kaiser. He is currently on tour with Günther Fischer, Uschi Brüning and his guitar crossover project Guitar Celebration, among others.

With the Rüdiger Krause Quartet - consisting of Leipzig musicians Jörg Leistner, Daniel Werbach and Gaga Ehlert - he brings a formation to the Phat Cat that stands for fresh arrangements, surprising twists and turns and a warm, modern jazz sound.
