And after a 25-year break, they pressed PLAY again in 2025! After two successful concerts, including one at the Backyard Club Recklinghausen, it was clear: this journey must continue!

Jazz, rock, Latin - it doesn't matter, they play it their way! THE IT IN YOU have shaped a shared musical history of over four decades. The band returned to the stage at the beginning of 2025 with two acclaimed reunion concerts.

The music of THE IT IN YOU is based on original compositions and blind understanding, especially in the all-driving "rhythm machine": Pit Podlasly (drums) and Rainer Köhler (percussions) have been conjuring up their polyrhythmic grooves for over four decades. They are the heart and trademark of the band. They effortlessly combine South American, African and European traditions.

Pianist Rüdiger Puchalla and guitarist Torsten Meise are responsible for many of the pieces. Other original compositions were penned by saxophonist Claudius Reimann (author of "Ist das Jazz oder kann das aus?"), who complements the tonal and harmonic spectrum.

With Ümi Reising, THE IT IN YOU have found a singer who perfectly complements the band and adds another musical facet to the band.
