Jazzclub Grünberg "Open-Air"
In the organizer's words:
"Hueeepaaa!" is an expression of enthusiasm in some Latin American countries. "¡HUEPA! - Jazz Latino" has been an international music group in the Rhine-Main region since 2010, conveying this enthusiasm and exploring the rich diversity of Latin American music from a jazz perspective.
HUEPA stands for stylistic diversity. HUEPA’s repertoire includes not only Latino rhythms common in this part of the world—such as salsa, cha-cha-cha, merengue, bossa nova, and samba—but also HUEPA also authentically performs genres rarely played in Europe, such as cumbia, mambo, joropo, danzón, bolero, guaracha, and mozambique.
"¡HUEPA! - Jazz Latino" features Ana Habana, the charming singer from Cuba, Horst Bittlinger (piano), Daniel Menge (timbales), Lucas Solari (congas), Néstor Benitez (saxophone, flute), and Andi Janik (bass). Occasionally, guest musicians or representatives are invited to join the band.
