In the organizer's words:

The Hamburg jazz pianist realizes his absolute dream line-up, which brings music composed especially for the evening to life. Jeff Ballard, one of the most distinguished jazz drummers, who played with Ray Charles in his early twenties and later made a name for himself in formations led by Kurt Rosenwinkel and as a permanent member of the famous Brad Mehldau Trio, will be a guest. Ballard and Klapp met in a production of the NDR Big Band, in which trumpeter Claus Stötter has also appeared as an outstanding soloist for many years. The quintet is completed by Anna-Lena Schnabel on saxophone and flute and Felix Henkelhausen on double bass. Two strong voices of the younger generation who are shaking up the German jazz scene with their very own musical visions. A meeting that promises an evening of great creativity and joy of playing.
