Why is it important to preserve places for art and how can this be achieved? At Jazzwoche Berlin #7, discussions and workshops will focus on empty coffers, new directions, solidarity - and, of course, music in the concert program: numerous clubs and venues present concerts throughout Berlin. Where Do We Go From Here? - Where do we currently stand and where do we go from here? Crises are increasingly determining everyday life. How important is art and culture in times like these?

The seventh edition of Jazz Week Berlin will take place this year from June 28 to July 4.

On Friday, June 27th, Jazzwoche Berlin #7 will kick off at Club Gretchen starting at 7 PM with a panel and concert performances - as always, with free admission. Confirmed so far are performances by Antonio Borghini's sextet Banquet of Consequences, the trio Yeah, About That (Lucy Liebe / Franka Fairy / Julian Wieder), and the duo M. Takara & Carla Boregas.

Why is it important to preserve places for art and how can this be achieved? Panels and workshops at Jazzwoche Berlin #7 will focus on empty pockets of public authorities, new directions, solidarity - and once again, numerous clubs and venues will present concerts throughout Berlin. Where Do We Go From Here? - Where do we currently stand and which direction should we take? Crises are increasingly determining everyday life. How important is art and culture in times like these? What is the meaning of community in jazz and improvised music?

Price information:

The opening of Jazzwoche Berlin #7 as well as all discourse events, the children's concert and the concerts as part of the day of action are free of charge. The admission prices for the concerts vary, as the respective clubs, venues and series are responsible for this themselves.
