With a powerful blend of Ghanaian highlife grooves, jazzy harmonies, soulful textures and contemporary Afro-fusion, Jembaa Groove has rapidly risen to the top of the global Afro-jazz and contemporary highlife scene. It is precisely this vibrant mix that forms the starting point for their 2026 tour, which kicks off in spring with a new line-up and a set of previously unreleased songs. As central representatives of a new generation that is redefining African-influenced music globally, the band is sending a strong signal for the growing importance of Afro-fusion and Afro-jazz worldwide.

After a successful year 2025 - including their first headline U.S. tour, sold-out shows in Europe, numerous festival appearances (Lowlands, MTN Bushfire, Xjazz and others) and an acclaimed KEXP session - Jembaa Groove enters this next chapter with new artistic momentum. The new songs are developed in close collaboration with Lagos' vibrant Afro-fusion scene and Nigeria's celebrated highlife revivalists The Cavemen, complemented by guest appearances from Fatoumata Diawara, Tim Lyre and Azekel, who together form a modern interpretation of highlife, jazz and Afrobeats.

A special highlight of the tour is the addition of renowned Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist Kwame Yeboah - known for his work with Pat Thomas, Stevie Wonder, Cat Stevens and Craig David. With his virtuosic musical range, he brings additional depth to the live performances and underlines Jembaa Groove's role as a leading force in a genre that is growing worldwide.

Jembaa Groove have long been more than just part of the international Afro-fusion movement - they have played a key role in shaping it. Their 2026 tour therefore promises not just a series of concerts, but a musical journey that connects cultures and transcends borders.
