Jerrilynn Patton is known as Jlin and is one of the most influential composers of electronic music in the USA. Jlin's introduction to music is rooted in Chicago footwork, but diverse influences from Igor Stravinsky to Philip Glass give her complex, percussion-driven work a polyrhythmic sound all its own. Jlin's stirring, emotional and multi-dimensional works have earned her a reputation as "one of the most progressive contemporary composers of any genre" (Pitchfork).
