Electro sounds from the steel factory

Since her debut album "Dark Energy", US composer Jlin has caused a stir with every release. In 2023, she was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize with the album "Perspective", which she composed for the ensemble Third Coast Percussion. For her latest album "Akoma", she has collaborated with music legends such as Björk and Philip Glass, proving once again that she is one of the most exciting and influential musicians in the USA. She skillfully combines classical and electronic influences to create her unique, driving music. With the rhythmic, percussive sounds, it is not surprising that Jlin worked in a steel factory before her career. However, moments of elegance and beauty are so convincingly woven into these hard sounds that models have even walked across the stage to Jlin's music at fashion shows.
