JOEL HAVEA TRIO (AUS)

Joel Havea is a versatile songwriter, authentic singer and charismatic performer. Born in Tonga and raised in Melbourne, his music combines soul, blues, roots and reggae with the ease and warmth of his two homelands. Since the release of his debut album "You Make Me Believe" (2012), Joel has played over 900 concerts in 25 countries on four continents and established himself - both solo and with band - as a permanent fixture on the Australian and European club and festival circuit. Performances at the Reeperbahn Festival (Hamburg), Bardentreffen (Nuremberg) and Montreux Jazz Festival as well as numerous international festivals are among the highlights.

The Joel Havea Trio with Leo Lazar (drums) and Arnd Geise (bass) has played over 200 concerts in Europe. Their album "Ki 'a Lavaka" (2020) marks a turning point: for the first time, musical influences from Joel's Tongan roots were consciously incorporated. The live album "Live at Birdland" (2023) marked the end of a special chapter: the recording not only documents the musical essence of the trio, but also the end of Joel's 15-year stay in Germany.

In September 2026, Joel Havea returns to Germany for a short, exclusive tour - a rare opportunity to experience the Joel Havea Trio live.
