Things have been a little quieter for the artist: after a break of almost three years, JORIS is back and has gathered new energy to hit the ground running! Even though it's been a while since his last record, the 34-year-old has never lost his love for live shows and has been working passionately on new music.

His songs are full of bittersweet longing and achingly beautiful melodies. Sung with an incredibly expressive and soulful voice, sometimes loud and rough, then again fragile and gentle. JORIS has been shaping the German music scene for almost ten years now and has won several awards since his debut in 2015. Since then, he has released a total of three albums, received millions of streams and delighted fans all over the world with countless live shows and festivals. With his new music, JORIS takes his listeners through the highs and lows of recent years. And rarely has it been so easy to understand this in the light of current events and the current global political situation.

To make the longing wait for his big "too much retro TOUR" in March 2025 more bearable, he is delivering his fourth album of the same name (release date 14.02.25, FOUR Music) in advance, which is inspired by life through and through. It contains unfiltered feelings that were also captured directly in the studio in a two-year process. JORIS has relied on the one thing that is unpredictable and contains pure emotion: Playing live. What has become part of the musician's soul and what he has been presenting with his band at the highest level for ten years has now also found its home in a record: All the songs on the new record were recorded live by his band in a studio room, just like in the old days. With all the flaws, corners and exciting twists and turns. As a result, the sound is unusually imperfect and perfect and provides the necessary amount of tension in the unexpected moments. All parts of the longplayer do not follow any genre convention and feel like a breakout - between pop, alternative and indie. Life as a rollercoaster of emotions: all of this adds up on the new work and the tracks "spring!" and "bye bye mein Herz", which have already been released in advance, were just two samples!
