A terminally ill rabbit accidentally saves the life of a daredevil wolf. Now the grumpy fellow has to save the weak rodent's life in turn. The wolf code demands it! With the rabbit's infusion stand and meter-long medication plan in their luggage, they become involuntary travel partners. Always on the run from a trigger-happy hunter, their path leads them through all kinds of dangers, cheap motels and abandoned mountain huts. But is it really just the wolf code that binds them together?
Josephine Mark's turbulent, tragic-comic comic about friendship, courage and illness is one of the most successful German comics of the last two years and will delight children and adults alike! It has received numerous awards (including the Reading Compass of the Reading Foundation and the Max and Moritz Prize) and has been nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize 2023.
After the comic reading and the workshop discussion, we will open the exhibition at Café Barbakane.
The evening will be hosted by Junior Professor Dr. Anna Stemmann (University of Leipzig, Department of German Studies)
