The Haz'art Trio stands for the finest transcultural jazz, joy of playing and virtuosity. In the interplay of oud, double bass, drums and live electronics, they create a network of jazz beats, Arabic maqam ornamentation and Eastern finesse that transcends all genre boundaries.
On their musical journey, specially designed for the "Mannheimer Sommer", the three musicians go in search of traces within the Algerian musical tradition. They find sources of inspiration in various periods and genres. They range from traditional Algerian music to pop icons such as Rahid Taha, who worked on the further development of Algerian-French music in the 1980s. The result is a concert evening that is diverse, surprising and unbridled.
