Anniversary reading 5 years of schauraum: comic + cartoon

In April 2019, schauraum: comic + cartoon opened its doors for the first time on the Katharinentreppe, in the immediate vicinity of Dortmund Central Station and the Dortmund City and State Library. A lot has happened since then and numerous visitors have experienced the various exhibitions, workshops, film screenings and readings on the subject of comics

Now we are celebrating 5 years of schauraum: comic + cartoon in Dortmund.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of comics!
We cordially invite you to a special event at which four talented female comic authors will present their works and give us an insight into their creative processes.

Wiebke Bolduan, Judith Kranz, Noëlle Kröger and Ika Sperling will present their latest titles in Studio B of the Dortmund City and State Library and take us on a journey through various comic worlds.

From mermaids and a post-apocalyptic world to werewolves and families with a penchant for conspiracy theories. There is something for everyone here.

The evening begins with a welcome from Dr. Stefan Mühlhofer, Managing Director of Kulturbetriebe Dortmund.

Following the reading, there will be an opportunity to purchase the comics on site and have them signed by the authors afterwards.

We look forward to celebrating the schauraum together with you.

The reading will take place next to the schauraum in Studio B of the Dortmund City and State Library.
