Reading in the Waldbiergarten
Judith Schalansky is one of Germany's most prominent contemporary authors. Her work, including the internationally successful bestseller "Atlas der abgelegenen Inseln" and the novel "Der Hals der Giraffe", has been translated into more than 20 languages. Since spring 2013, she has published the "Naturkunden" series with Matthes und Seitz. Themes of the production and loss of knowledge play a central role in her work. In addition to the Wilhelm Raabe Prize, Schalansky, who studied communication design, has also received several awards from the Stiftung Buchkunst for her design work.
The reading is organized by Science Notes magazine.
