In the organizer's words:
The Dortmund Choir Academy's youth concert choir has been one of Germany's top youth ensembles for many years. The young singers were awarded first prize at the German Choir Competition for their mature choral sound and challenging program. At its musical home match in the impressive Maschinenhalle at Zeche Zollern, the choir, under its conductor Felix Heitmann, spans the musical spectrum from romantic composers such as Johannes Brahms and Carl Loewe to beautiful songs from Scandinavia.
