Czandelier is a word from her mother tongue, the language of her mother, who has spent her life cleaning in the country to which she has emigrated. The daughter should be better off - and she is better off, but does she really belong? Or should she still be afraid of slipping away?

The award-winning young playwright Ewe Benbenek creates a breathless work of linguistic art, a rapid stream of consciousness of three voices, exploring the ambiguities of post-migrant identities. Can you ever get rid of your own origins, and if so - do you want to?
