Jazz morning pint in the COBRA canteen - JumpingBlue jazz party
Swing, pop, bossa and jazz-rock grooves: the band JumpingBlue interprets well-known hits from different decades - rethought, with their own style, but always with a high recognition value. Not only die-hard jazz fans will get their money's worth here, but really everyone who loves good music.
You can look forward to evergreens such as "Take Five", "Son of a Preacherman", "Sir Duke", "Just The Two Of Us", "Cantaloupe Island", "Moondance" and "The Girl from Ipanema", as well as tracks by Al Jarreau, Frank Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison and many more.
The quintet came together rather by chance after several members of a regular line-up dropped out - but without any rehearsals, the spark was immediately ignited. The musical synergy and personal affinity were so extraordinary that the decision to form JumpingBlue was made immediately. All band members have been active in the regional and national music scene for decades and are well known.
Line-up:
Klaus Jakobi - tenor saxophone
Markus Klein - trombone & vocals
Heinz-Peter Reidmacher - piano
Peter Dilling - double bass
Jürgen Schmidt - drums
Many beautiful memories of the golden age of jazz - reinterpreted and carried by a grooving carpet of sound. Guaranteed not to be boring.
Admission: Free admission - the hat goes round (donations welcome)
Seating: partly seated - free choice of seats
