jung & laut

In the organizer's words:

“Music by young people for young people.” This is the motto of the “jung & laut” music festival.

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the festival will hold its fourth edition overall—and its second as an open-air event—on the “ASAM öffne dich” outdoor stage in the ASAM courtyard. Running parallel to the Freising Old Town Festival, you can enjoy music by young artists and bands here starting at 5:30 p.m. The bands are among the hottest hidden gems currently on the young music scene from Munich to Freising. This evening invites you to discover new talent and simply enjoy really good music, crafted by young people.

With the second edition of “jung & laut,” the long-standing concept of youth culture behind the ASAM building takes on a new light and organizational structure on the renovated open-air stage as an event organized by the Freising Office for Public Safety and Order, the City Youth Services, and the Cultural Office of the City of Freising.

The following young bands and artists will be performing:

Sweet Garden (rock from Freising) – Sweet Garden is a student band from Freising that performs the best rock songs of the past decades.

Felix Roman ( alternative from Regensburg) – Felix Roman would love to live in a small house in the Småland forest. Somewhere quiet enough to hear not only his thoughts but also himself.
His band consists of loops from a drum machine and a painted guitar. No screen, no backing tracks for the live performance. Just the space that emerges when you repeat the same thing over and over until it suddenly means something else. Cool, then urgent. Raw, because there’s no other way. German, because some things just don’t sound right in any other language. Music for those hours when you want to wake up.

Kussversuch ( Indie-Punk-Rock from Unering) - Kussversuch is a band of ambiguities.

Even the band’s name suggests an ambivalence between the romantically sweet notion of a kiss and the bitter reality of a failed attempt.

And so Kussversuch positions itself in punk rock and indie somewhere on the spectrum between Leftovers and Wir sind Helden.

The two lead singers and siblings, Sophia and Franz Haas (Wetbrikk) from Unering near Herrsching, have been jamming together for years. Together with Lilly Ossiander (Catcall) on guitar and Kolja Briesen (blue intended, 15 Steps Closer) on drums, they form the band Kussversuch. Given the members’ diverse band experience, one can speak of a sort of supergroup within the local band scene, despite their young ages ranging from 18 to 22.

Kussversuch , however, represents a new spearhead of this very scene. With a unique sound blending punk rock and new wave, complemented by lyrics and melodies reminiscent of indie rock anthems, Kussversuch is exploring new realms. While their original songs form the heart of their live performances, the set is enhanced by a selection of cover songs by the band’s idols.

Kussversuch will make its glorious debut at “jung & laut” on July 18, 2026, in Freising.

Nothing Like You (Rock from Pfaffenhofen) – Nothing Like You is a band from Pfaffenhofen that incorporates other genres, such as jazz and punk, into their music alongside rock and pop.
The band consists of Vincent (drums), who would actually prefer to be a songwriter and guitarist; Caspar (bass), who would actually prefer to be the bandleader and singer; and Tim (singer & guitarist), who is actually quite happy with his role.
They met more or less by chance in late 2024. Caspar and Tim ended up in the same class at FOS; Vincent joined through old connections, and their occasional encounters eventually led to a shared sound.
The name Nothing Like You came about somewhere between inspiration and chance—triggered by a song title that Caspar and Vincent stumbled upon in a Miles Davis album.
From the very beginning, it was clear that the three of them didn’t just want to make music, but to find their own voice. That’s why they play exclusively original compositions—songs that could only come from them.

Skofja ( Indie from Freising) – Skofja are an underground phenomenon—deeply rooted and now in full bloom. The trio’s comfort zone lies between indie and alternative; evocative lyrics are a given, and anyone who’s seen them live will remember the experience vividly.
The band captures the spirit of life in one’s mid-twenties:
Having already seen through life’s biggest lies, and consequently becoming more mature and grounded, they still can’t shake off the passion, drive, and optimism of youth. That veneer isn’t going to crack anytime soon—Clemens, Daniel, and Vincent just can’t help themselves.

insschlosswollen ( Indie from Munich) – insschlosswollen is Max Weigl’s solo project. With his melancholic, danceable “Schnauzer-Indie,” he delivers the soundtrack for the desire to eventually arrive at a symbolic castle sometime in one’s twenties. It’s about crushing on someone, slow kissing, the everyday heartaches of young adulthood, but also the transience of the “best years” and “political” resistance through daydreaming. Melancholic, pop-infused indie love songs that go straight to the heart.

Just like on the album, insschlosswollen is one thing above all else: an energetic live trio that gets your feet moving and your heart racing, featuring Quirin Schacherl on bass and Lisa Gottlieb on drums. insschlosswollen is for young people who want to listen to pop music but love the raw edge of punk—people who want to hear thoughtful, emotional music and aren’t interested in aloof rock dudes, but rather in cute, danceable shows.

Between sets and after the final concert , Freising-based DJ b.leiwand—aka Benedikt Lachner—will spin indie, new wave, and alternative tracks.
