During the Easter vacations, numerous young musicians from Würzburg and the region will once again put together a professional concert program under the proven direction of Frédéric Tschumi. After a week of intensive rehearsals, the rehearsed works are performed in the two final concerts of the "Junge Philharmonie Würzburg".
Two masters of their musical eras are the focus of this year's concerts: shortly before his death, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart created his only solo concerto for the clarinet. In this composition, he combines the simplicity of musical elements with breathtaking expressiveness. The solo instrument, played by Jonas Kalin, shines with catchy melodies that unfold an extraordinary emotional intensity. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, whose 5th Symphony is the second work on the program, is no less famous for his stirring melodies. This symphony, also known as the Symphony of Fate, is one of the composer's most popular works. With the powerful musical force of the entire orchestra, it unfolds a captivating dynamic that immerses the audience in a rousing and emotional concert experience.
