JUNOKILL
is pure and peculiarly unruly.
With dazzling force and against all the rules of a conventional pop consensus, JUNOKILL creates its own world of sound:
ASTROPUNK - a space that invites you to dive in, let off steam and experiment.
From a potpourri of influences, Junokill serves up a dense sound with depth and depth.
With multi-layered voices, swirling synthesizers, lush guitars, sighing strings and airy drums, Junokill creates a fantastically fluid cosmos in which special intimacy and a gentle rebellion against the norm are celebrated.
Junokill invites you to a furious dance between realities and dreamy utopias.

After the debut album ASTROPUNK (LP, 2021), which tells of feminist rage and passion, loss, staggering and growth with energetic and dreamy songs and a gentle edge, the LP MIMICRY was released in 2025.

In nine songs, Mimicry is about coming to terms with chaos, about being at home in music as a point of rest, about being connected and related, about care and transience, phantasms and reveries, about deepest anger and sadness, about pleasure and lust as an act of resistance, about devotion and passion, about inner turmoil and fear, about nothingness and delusion.

Mimicry is the art and at the same time the doom of adaptation, identification with matter and deception in order to survive. The album is a manifesto of a queerfeminist existence and an ode to the instruments and many influences that make it sound.

JUNOKILL has existed since late summer 2018 and emerged from its predecessor band Maloun, which formed in 2016. Maloun released their debut EP FAITHFUL FRIEND in spring 2018, which was recorded with Linda Dağ at Clouds Hill Studio in Hamburg.
The then trio sealed the start of their new existence as JUNOKILL with their first tour of Germany in March 2019. From 2017 to 2020, they played various stages in northern Germany, such as the Wutzrock Festival in Hamburg and the Lunatic Festival in Lüneburg.
