Jupiter Jones

JUPITER JONES was founded in 2002 at a garden party in the Eifel. Nobody had any idea that nine years later they would have their breakthrough with their song "Still" and even win an Echo. That this award was justified can still be seen today: "Still" is played over and over again on the radio and on TikTok the song is often used as a sound.

After JUPITER JONES announced their breakup in 2017, there was radio silence for 5 years. In 2021 - in the middle of the Corona Pandemic - the two band founders Sascha and Nicholas celebrated their comeback. Music was made again and new singles were released.

With their new album "Die Sonne ist ein Zwergstern" (VÖ 31.12.22) JUPITER JONES build the bridge between the punk from the old days of meanwhile twenty years ago and the pop from the newer albums. In doing so, they create a melange of both that doesn't bother about adhering to any genre dogmas and isn't afraid to put even uncomfortable topics into more comfortable tones and words. Because pop doesn't stop where normativity finds its limits.

The year 2023 promises to be an exciting time. After embarking on a sold-out tour with 4 wonderful club concerts in the spring, JUPITER JONES will embark on a major tour of Germany as early as the following May.
