The "NaNe" young talent network invites you to the jute book party!‍

Once a year, the young talent network "NaNe" of the Börsenverein Berlin-Brandenburg celebrates its jute book party. If you are currently training in a bookshop, have started working in publishing or are simply interested in the book industry, this is your place to be! We offer you the opportunity to meet and chat with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have also invited two guests of honor again this year: Nel Fraider, co-founder and managing director of the voluntary publishing house etece buch (most recently published: "Handbuch Queere Jugendarbeit") and Tobi Schiller, editor, author, literary mediator and co-editor of the newsletter magazine "Queerer Kanon?". Together with Fabian Thomas, they will discuss the social responsibility of publishers and bookstores in times of a global shift to the right, cuts in public funding and far-reaching restrictions on diversity and voluntary work. We are already looking forward to the exchange!

Whether you're a trainee, volunteer or young professional: if you're just starting out in the book industry, the "NaNe" young talent network is the right place for you. We organize exciting evening events ranging from visits to print shops to audiobook publishers and keep an eye on what's going on in the industry. The "NaNe" young talent network is made up of a volunteer team and is coordinated by Fabian Thomas at the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels Landesverband Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. (German Publishers and Booksellers Association Berlin-Brandenburg).

Nel Fraider trained in graphic design in Karlsruhe, studied social and business communication at the University of the Arts in Berlin and initially worked in the mail-order book trade for five years. Today, Nel is a full-time team leader at a large nature conservation association. Nel is co-founder and managing director of the voluntary publishing house etece buch , founded in 2022, where he is responsible for finance, operations, typesetting and production, among other things.

Tobi Schiller (er/ihm) is an editor, author and literary mediator. He writes for various magazines and anthologies and is co-author with Bianca-Maria Braunshofer and Marlon Brand of the non-fiction book "Und Jetzt Queer! Reading beyond the norm', published in 2026. He also moderates literary events and has been running the newsletter magazine "Queerer Kanon?" together with Marlon Brand since 2021.
