Jutta Speidel: Amaryllis

Don't you know this too? You've already lived a good bit of your life, a lot of things have worked out well, some less so and you always catch yourself thinking: What if?

In her novel "Amaryllis", actress Jutta Speidel asks herself precisely these questions: What if her name wasn't Jutta? What if she hadn't become an actress? If she hadn't married the man, lived many and completely different loves and perhaps had no children? Lived in a completely different country? And still be her? Cheeky, cheerful, profound and very intense, Jutta Speidel tells the life of the clown Valerie between 1954 and 2024. She is Jutta and yet she is also Valerie. Her biography is also her own - or at least it could be!

And so in Amaryllis, Jutta Speidel tells of a life that takes many detours and deals with great love, hope, tragedy, renunciation, betrayal and reconciliation. She will be accompanied on this moving evening by Antonia Feuerstein (vocals) and Peter Rodekuhr (piano). Amaryllis is a musical reading without resignation, but with the message that you should be open to new paths throughout your life. It radiates unconventional ways of thinking, generosity, trust and forgiveness.
