Kairos | Lesung mit Jenny Erpenbeck
In the organizer's words:
Jenny Erpenbeck was the first German to win the British International Booker Prize 2024 with her novel Kairos .
At the end of the 1980s, nineteen-year-old Katharina and the much older Hans begin a relationship that lasts for years. Against the backdrop of the disintegrating GDR, Jenny Erpenbeck tells of a love between truth and lies, obsession and hope - and of how everything can be lost the moment it begins.
The reading will be hosted by writer and journalist Marion Brasch.
