Kapelle Petra

Kapelle Petra is a German indie rock band from Hamm/Westphalia, consisting of Opa (vocals, guitar), Der tägliche Siepe (bass) and Ficken Schmidt (drums). The ensemble is joined live by the stage sculpture Gazelle and multi-instrumentalist Ole.
Their hometown is the title of the studio album released in January 2024, as it reached number 6 in the "Official German Album Charts".

"For many, it's the small, gray mouse on the edge of the Ruhr area, where you only ever change trains at the station. For us, Hamm is the center of the world - this is where we all grew up and this is where the HAMM songs were written. It all started here and will hopefully continue for a long time to come."

The album release will be accompanied by numerous concerts, headlining shows and festival appearances. The spring tour '24 has so far been the most successful tour in the band's history, with many concerts being rescheduled and the majority of clubs reporting sell-outs.

Kapelle Petra has released eight studio albums in over two decades and can look back on TV appearances (Ina's Nacht, various Joko&Klaas shows and several Pufpaffs Happy Hour shows), numerous successes (sold-out tours, two albums in the "Official German Charts"), curiosities (the video for "Geburtstag" has been viewed over 4.5 million times on YouTube worldwide) and major appearances (festivals such as "Open Flair", "Taubertal" and "Rock am Ring").
