Born in Düsseldorf in 1963, singer and songwriter Katharina Franck grew up in Portugal and Brazil and now lives near Neuruppin. The self-taught singer has been significantly involved in around 18 album releases to date and has also appeared as an interpreter for other songwriters. She also writes spoken pop songs and radio plays. Her evergreen "Blueprint", which she made famous with the band RAINBIRDS, which she founded, celebrated its 35th radio anniversary in 2023 and was awarded GOLD for over 250,000 copies sold. Guitarist Werner Neumann was born in Duisburg in 1964, studied musicology and jazz guitar in Cologne and Arnhem in the Netherlands and currently holds a professorship at the HMT Leipzig. He maintains at least three bands with his own compositions in different styles, including WENET, Drei Vom Rhein and MEAN, and has played with Richie Beirach, Wolfgang Schmid's Next Kick, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Jocelyn B. Smith, Wolf Maahn, Anke Engelke, the Heavytones and many others.

Werner Neumann's warm, soft electric guitar sound, his musicality and his wide range of changes and melodic arcs, meet a musician who "could also sing to a few rusty spoons and be deeply moving".
