Katrin Iskam – Gärtnern ohne viel Geschiss

Katrin Iskam is notorious, unique and definitely crazy. She doesn't have THE green thumb, but two of them. "Gardening without a lot of mess" is not only her motto, but also the title of her current garden comedy live tour.

Katrin Iskam, a trained and active nurse, is the hottest discovery on the local gardening scene. After all, who digs, shovels and digs in wellies and a nightgown? Exactly, only "Katrinchen", as she is affectionately called by her fans. And there are now quite a few of them. Almost 200,000 on her Instagram page @katrinsgarten alone, which won first place in the German Gardening Book Prize. The self-taught gardener is a successful garden influencer and SPIEGEL bestselling author (2022 "Mit Witz, Charme und Methode - Das etwas andere Gartenbuch"; 2023 "Klotzen statt kleckern: Gartengestaltung mit @katrinsgarten". Book no. 3 followed in 2024: "With heart & fork through Katrin's garden year 2025"). Born and raised in the Altmark, she now lives in Himbergen in the Lüneburg Heath. Can a place of residence sound more like a garden? Hardly.

A night-time snail rescue can end up at the police station. And when the natural fertilizer unintentionally ends up on the Christmas tree, the "head gardener" Tyson, Katrin's dachshund, is delighted.
