In the organizer's words:
KAY RAY SHOW – He Who Laughs Last Might Still Be Thinking for Himself
Is it even allowed to laugh these days without first filing an application with the Behavior Bureau?
And why do so many people seem afraid of their own thoughts?
Kay Ray asks exactly the questions that others would rather avoid. Loud, musical, mercilessly spontaneous—and always right in the middle of the neatly arranged comfort zones of our time.
The Hamburg-based entertainer, cabaret artist, singer, provocateur, and boundary-pusher brings a show to the stage that doesn’t care about ideological guardrails. Instead of moral instruction manuals, there are songs, improvisation, stories, excesses, absurd punchlines, and a direct confrontation with the madness of modern everyday life. Navigating political sensitivity, the culture of digital outrage, and controlled thinking, Kay Ray dissects a society that constantly talks about tolerance—but can tolerate less and less.
Sometimes brutally funny, sometimes surprisingly thought-provoking, sometimes completely off the rails.
And that’s exactly what makes it so compelling.
Kay Ray doesn’t mock from a position of superiority—he makes fun of everyone. Politicians, influencers, activists, men, women, “wokeness,” machos, moralists, his own scene, and, if necessary, himself as well. His show isn’t a political event, but an attack on intellectual boredom.
Anyone sitting here won’t experience a cookie-cutter comedy night with predictable punchlines. Instead, it’s an unpredictable mix of concert, cabaret, bar madness, and social self-examination.
And while outside someone is constantly demanding that someone else finally shut up, Kay Ray has been on stage for decades doing exactly the opposite.
Perhaps that’s exactly what a democracy needs: people who can disagree, laugh, persevere, and react spontaneously.
Or at least an evening where you can just laugh all the madness away.
KAY RAY SHOW
Cheeky. Musical. Boundless.
And definitely not for people who want to be offended before the first sentence is even spoken.
