KeinFestival: From the scene for the scene

On July 13, the time has come: KeinFestival celebrates its premiere at the Pittlerwerke in Leipzig. "From the scene for the scene": This idea has given rise to an independent festival that represents Leipzig's techno scene and provides a platform for local DJs. From 1 p.m. to 8 a.m., you can dance the night away on three floors. You can also look forward to a colorful program of workshops and artistic performances.

You can expect a diverse line-up featuring over 20 local acts, including residents from elipamanoke and Distillery as well as DJs from many different Leipzig techno collectives. There will be three stages - one outdoor and two indoor floors, with genres ranging from hard techno, acid techno, trance, hypnotic techno and (hard) groove.

But KeinFestival is more than just techno: if you need a break from dancing, you can take part in the many free workshops. From body painting and graffiti to fire spinning and yoga, everything is on offer. Spectacular performances, including pole dancing, vertical dance acrobatics, contemporary dance and a fire show, can also be admired throughout the day. There will also be a tattoo area until around 6 p.m., where you can get tattooed by six up-and-coming Leipzig tattoo artists and take away a lasting souvenir of the festival.

Who is actually behind KeinFestival?

KeinFestival was brought to life by the Leipzig KeinKollektiv. What began in 2020 as a small, spontaneous open-air event has developed into a permanent fixture on the Leipzig rave scene over the past four years. "Over the past few months, we have been working on our biggest event to date, which has been buzzing around in our heads for a long time and is now finally becoming a reality. We are super proud to present our heart project to you: KeinFestival."
