Discover the oldest wine cellar in Germany! Built in Roman Trier around 330 AD, the so-called "Horrea" served the citizens of the city as a warehouse and storehouse and later became part of the monastery complex of St. Irminien-Oeren Abbey. To this day, we continue to age our wines in this special place full of history. Today, our wine cellar is one of the highlights of wine culture in Germany (DWI) and is a hidden gem in the heart of Germany's oldest city.
For wine and culture lovers, we offer our "cellar discovery tour" on Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:00 am.
Take a 50-minute tour through our historic cellar and soak up the unique atmosphere of this highlight of Trier's wine culture and join us in our extensive wine cellar to taste two selected wines from our VDP. GrosseLagen vineyards from the Saar and Mosel.
Please book a free ticket for accompanying children up to and including the age of 15.
