Keramik Design Workshop mit Ulrike Lea Moormann

All-day hand-building workshop with slab technique and colorful design.

Aachen-based designer and illustrator Ulrike Lea Moormann is coming to Berlin in May for a ceramic design course!
She is known for her distinctive designs in print, textiles and ceramics, where playful elements meet clear design language.

In this all-day course, Ulrike Lea Moormann will provide insights into her work and invite you to create extraordinary pieces using simple means:
Surfaces that overlap, structures that develop their own language, forms that surprise as they emerge.

Inspired by the question of how basic visual elements can be transformed into three-dimensional objects, we will work with the slab technique under the guidance of designer Ulrike Lea Moormann: clay becomes surface, surface becomes form. In the first part of the course, very special objects are created - with hands, patience and curiosity for the creative process.

A break together with a carefully prepared lunch invites you to take a deep breath and exchange ideas before we move on to color design in the second part: The previously shaped pieces are brought to life in color using various techniques. Design, architecture and artistic thinking flow together - so that each piece created makes a statement in terms of both form and content.

In the end, a very individual vessel is created as an expression of a personal design language.

The resulting works are then fired and transparent glazed by us and are ready for collection approx. 3 weeks after the end of the course. The works can be shipped for an additional charge.
